Indonesian ecommerce enabler TokoTalk to shut down operations

Indonesian ecommerce enabler TokoTalk is set to shut down its operations on October 28. The company announced the decision via an email sent to its customers, which was confirmed by its management.

TokoTalk didn’t specify the reason behind the closure. In the email, the firm said its services will be accessible until October 28. It will shut down its server on the same day.

“After October 28, 2022, we will no longer process orders,” the company said in the email.

The firm said it will continue to provide backend support until November 14, including payment settlement, delivery, data backup, and remaining subscription packages. It added that it will help consumers transition to other platforms.

Established in 2018, TokoTalk offers online store management solutions by providing a website for users. The company has raised US$15.2 million in funding from investors including Altos Ventures.
