Bridge Data Centres adds new co-CEO to leadership team

Singapore-based Bridge Data Centres, which builds and operates data centers across Asia Pacific, appointed Drew Chen as co-CEO, effective November 1, 2026, alongside Eric Fan.

Chen was previously a Bain Capital senior partner and a founding member of its Asia Pacific private equity team.

Bridge said he brings more than 20 years of private equity experience.

Bain Capital previously merged ChinData with Bridge to create a pan-Asian data center platform.

Bridge operates in Malaysia, Thailand, and India. It says it is an Asia Pacific hyperscale data center platform and has facilities in Johor and Cyberjaya.

It said it will surpass 1 gigawatt of capacity in 2026.

The appointment follows a report that Bain Capital was exploring a stake sale in Bridge at a valuation of about US$5 billion.
