China Mobile taps CaoCao for AI-powered ride-hailing
CaoCao Mobility, a China-based ride-hailing platform backed by Geely, said on November 5 that it had integrated with China Mobile’s 12580 Personal Intelligent Assistant, becoming the telecom operator’s first ride-hailing ecosystem partner.
In a pilot, users can request rides in natural language, confirm trips, choose vehicle types and prices, and pay fares inside the assistant instead of switching to another app.
CaoCao said it connected to China Mobile’s Lingxi system through the A2A protocol and plans to expand to more China Mobile channels. Its ride-hailing service already connects to the Doubao mobile assistant, Honor YOYO, OPPO Xiaobu, and Qianwen AI glasses.
The tie-up comes as Chinese ride-hailing platforms adopt AI booking interfaces. Didi launched an AI-powered ride assistant in China.
China also announced tighter data rules for ride-hailing firms in 2022, including real-time data submission to regulators.
