Franklin Templeton gets approval to launch tokenized fund in SG
Franklin Templeton has obtained regulatory approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to launch the Franklin OnChain US Dollar Short-Term Money Market Fund.
This fund will be the first tokenized fund available to retail investors in Singapore, structured under the Franklin Templeton Investments Variable Capital Company (VCC).
Shares of the fund will be issued through Franklin Templeton’s blockchain-integrated transfer agency platform.
This platform aims to improve transparency, security, and efficiency.
Retail investors can participate with a minimum investment of US$20.
