GitHub rival Entire launches code hosting for AI agents
Entire, a developer tools startup, has launched a Git-compatible code hosting platform for developers and AI coding agents as an alternative to GitHub.
The platform adds Trails, a review system that uses agent-scored evaluations, and Continuous Memory, which stores agent sessions in repositories so developers and agents can search and reuse them.
Entire also offers private repository hosting in the US, the European Union, India, and Australia.
Entire has partnered with Buildkite, a continuous integration company based in Australia, and Depot, a cloud build and continuous integration startup based in the US, to run builds on every code push after teams convert workflows and subscribe a repository.
The company also said it previously released mirroring and command-line interface tools, and raised US$60 million in February.
The launch comes as GitHub Enterprise Cloud already offers data residency for some enterprise data, while GitHub Copilot can review pull requests.
Storing agent sessions in repositories may also raise governance questions. AI agent security guidance warns about risks including sensitive data exposure, prompt injection, and data exfiltration.
