Indian manufacturing startup Venttup raises $3m pre-series A
Venttup, a Bengaluru- and Kochi-based business-to-business (B2B) manufacturing startup, has raised US$3 million in a pre-series A round co-led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures.
The company said it will use the funding to expand its engineering team, build a Bengaluru facility for rapid prototyping and precision manufacturing, and use AI to improve sourcing, supplier intelligence, and operations.
Venttup develops components and subassemblies for energy transition, defense, aerospace, and space applications. The startup said revenue grew 5x from its 2024 seed round to 100 million rupees (US$1.05 million) in FY2025-26. It also reported a business opportunity pipeline of about 300 million rupees (US$3.15 million).
The deal adds to Rainmatter’s deeptech investments. Rainmatter has focused on climate and deep tech and recently backed another industrial deeptech startup.
The funding also comes as India has pushed indigenous defense manufacturing to reduce imports and expand local production.
