LG Electronics, a South Korean consumer electronics and home appliance maker, reported third-quarter revenue of 23.8 trillion won (US$17.9 billion) and operating profit totaled 781.9 billion won (US$587 million) on October 28. The company attributed its performance to growth in home appliances and vehicle solutions, as well as an improved TV business.

For the first nine months of 2026, the company’s operating profit rose 55.9% year on year to 4 trillion won (US$3.02 billion).

LG said cumulative orders for AI data center cooling solutions topped 3 trillion won (US$2.25 billion) through the third quarter. The company is investing an additional 220 billion won (US$165 million) to upgrade production sites and expand capacity, including in the US.

LG’s data center cooling lineup is designed to control temperature and humidity, and includes chillers and other heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.

LG also announced a US factory to produce chillers for AI data centers.
