Malaysian gamified ads startup RewardinMe enters Myanmar
RewardinMe, a Kuala Lumpur-based playable marketing platform, said on October 13 that it had entered Myanmar, its sixth market, through RevSEA, a Thailand-based business-to-business (B2B) consultancy.
The rollout began in September with an 18-month campaign for an unnamed e-wallet provider.
RewardinMe said its Burmese-language in-app games aim to encourage more daily wallet transactions and collect first-party data with users’ consent.
Since 2023, the company said its campaigns have reached more than 360,000 participants. It also named Maybank and RHB Bank as clients.
RevSEA describes itself as a regional revenue partner in Asia.
The expansion comes as Myanmar’s e-wallet market is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of 11.2% through 2032.
Myanmar lacks a comprehensive standalone data protection law, though some privacy provisions exist.
Internet shutdowns and connectivity restrictions documented through February 2025 could pose risks to mobile marketing campaigns.
