Samsung appoints new acting head of consumer division

Samsung Electronics has appointed Roh Tae-moon, its mobile business chief since 2020, as the acting head of its consumer and smartphone division.

This decision comes after the death of Han Jong-Hee, the company’s former co-CEO and head of the division, one week ago.

Roh-Tae moon will lead Samsung’s Device Experience (DX) division, covering TV, home appliances, and smartphones.

A decision on whether to retain the co-CEO structure will be made later by the company’s board.

The leadership changes are aimed at closing gaps in the DX division while addressing ongoing operational challenges.
