SoftBank reportedly plans $1t AI parks in the US

SoftBank Group Corp. is reportedly considering investing over US$1 trillion in AI industrial parks across the US, according to a Nikkei report.
Founder and CEO Masayoshi Son is expected to visit the US to outline his vision, with plans to use AI-equipped robots to address labor shortages.
In January, SoftBank announced a US$100 billion partnership with OpenAI and Oracle to develop AI infrastructure in the US, with a goal of increasing funding to US$500 billion for data centers and campuses.
Abu Dhabi’s state investor MGX will support the initiative, with the first computing system set for construction in Texas.
SoftBank has not confirmed the US$1 trillion figure or provided further details on the timeline or scope of the proposed parks.
